FAQs

Summary:

1. What happens in my first session?

2. What happens in subsequent sessions?

3. How many sessions will I need?

4. How far apart will sessions be?

5. What if I’m already seeing a doctor or other therapist?

1. What happens in my first session?

The first session is a two-way process. You can ask Michelle more about what she does. And Michelle asks you how she can help you. She also asks about the key points in your life and general wellbeing.

This is because she works holistically: what happens in one area of your life may be symptomatic of what’s happening in another area of your life.

After the initial conversation, Michelle may work with you whilst you are lying on the massage table, fully clothed. You may also be sitting or standing at certain parts of your session, depending on what is most effective at the time.

During a typical first session, Michelle maps out what the stressors and underlying causes are for your health concern or life issue. She does this using kinesiology. This allows her to strategically approach your case in the most effective way. Rather than dealing with one symptom after another, Michelle deals directly with the cause of the symptoms.

2. What happens in subsequent sessions?

At the start of your session, Michelle ascertains your progress and the results from the previous session.

Michelle connects with your mind-body system, using muscle testing, a kinesiology technique. In this way, your system guides through the course of your session. Blocks are found and released, and you connect with new strategies and skills. Michelle combines kinesiology and NLP so that you get the best results.

At the end of your session, Michelle provides you with a summary of what was covered in the session, and outlines the next step forward. This helps you to understand the big picture.

She may also suggest exercises that will consolidate your healing, or better enable it. If appropriate she may also give you flower essences, or essential oils to support the process.

3. How many sessions will I need?

Generally, significant improvements can be noticed in 2 to 3 sessions, particularly for emotional issues, or matters with emotional causes.

In some cases, improvements may take more time, particularly for physical conditions that have built up over a long period of time.

How quickly you heal depends on what’s causing the dis-ease. And how quickly you are willing to let go of the blocks.

As your therapist, Michelle gives you every advantage in the healing process. She combines kinesiology and NLP to increase your ability to heal, and connect you to your inner strength and wisdom.

4. How far apart will sessions be?

Whilst you are in the middle of a significant process, Michelle may ask you to book in again in a week, if your schedule allows it.

After a big session, she may ask you to take 2 or 3 weeks to process and integrate the shift in your life, before continuing with any further work.

When you have achieved your goals working with Michelle, there is the option of monthly or quarterly check-ups as part of your self-care plan. You may also choose to work with Michelle on a different issue or concern.

5. What if I’m already seeing a doctor or other therapist?

Kinesiology and NLP work well with other therapies to give you faster and longer-lasting results. In this sense, Michelle is a complementary therapist. She has worked in collaboration with many other health specialists to ensure the best results for her clients.

Michelle believes in holistic care. She may refer her clients to GP’s, herbalists, or bodyworkers when appropriate.
